Mesa Fire and Medical Department has received a $12.5 million federal grant for expansion of their Community Care Response units, formerly known as the Transition Response Vehicle program (TRV). The Community Care program aims to reduce high risk patients from returning to the hospital while treating and referring low risk patients to avoid using the 911 system and the emergency department.
