Mesa elementary schools are participating in the Bench the Bag Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge during the month of March. Students will be collecting plastic grocery bags, bread bags, produce bags, shrink wrap and dry cleaner bags to see which school can recycle the most. The winning school will receive the 2015 City of Mesa Earth Day Award, a bench made from recycled plastic bags and other great prizes.
