Dobson Road Closed at Southern

Mesa, AZ - Dobson Road will be closed at Southern Avenue (north side ONLY) beginning 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, through 5 a.m. Monday, March 21, for utility installation. North and southbound traffic will be prohibited from traveling through the intersection except for emergency personnel. East and westbound traffic on Southern Avenue will remain one lane in each direction; however turn movements onto northbound Dobson Road will be prohibited.
This closure is part of the Capital Improvement Project, Southern Avenue Streetscape Improvements, Phase 2 from Sycamore to the Tempe Canal. When completed, Southern Avenue will be transitioned to four lanes (two in each direction), wider sidewalks and new landscaping behind the new curbs. New street amenities will include benches, street lighting, pedestrian lighting, trash receptacles, bike racks and traffic signals.
