Grand opening for Upper Iowa University's Mesa campus

A grand opening ceremony has been held by Upper Iowa University for its UIU-Mesa Center at 1361 S. Alma School Rd. in a vacant retail building that formerly housed Borders bookstore. It is part of Mesa's Higher Education Initiative, which has brought satellite campuses of several colleges and universities to the City. Mesa is the 19th U.S. location for a UIU education center and the first location west of the Rocky Mountains.
