An estimated 500 aircraft will be on display Friday & Saturday, Oct. 27-28 at the Copperstate Fly-In Aviation & Education Expo at Mesa's Falcon Field Airport, 4626 E. Fighter Aces Drive.
Bringing together aviation enthusiasts in the Southwest since 1973, it is the largest fly-in of its type in the western United States. Participating aircraft include light sport, gyrocopters, home-built (experimental) aircraft, antiques, vintage, warbirds and general aviation aircraft. The public can walk among the aircraft during the event. Due to increased flight activity during the event, Mesa residents living near Falcon Field Airport may notice increased aircraft overflight and flight-related noise.
A variety of activities are planned for pilots and the public to provide an educational experience that will enhance knowledge and skills. Offerings will include educational workshops, pilot forums, aircraft rides, aircraft and product exhibits, youth education activities, aviation career information, drone education, exhibit flying and food.
Overnight tent camping and parking for motor homes is available, including shower facilities. Event hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $15 per day or $25 for both days. Discounts apply for active duty and retired military with ID. Admission is FREE to ages 18 and under.

Copperstate is a non-profit organization of aviation and community service volunteers dedicated to promoting recreational and general aviation through events, scholarships and public education. Proceeds from the event support scholarship programs for youth seeking careers in the aviation/aerospace industry.
