METRO commemorates start of construction in central Mesa

A groundbreaking ceremony has been held to commemorate the start of construction on the 3.1-mile light rail line into downtown Mesa. The extension will continue light rail east on Main Street to Mesa Drive and is expected to open in late 2015.
