Community workshop to develop citywide design guidelines

September 19, 2018 at 10:12 am

The City of Mesa is initiating the process of developing citywide design guidelines that can be utilized by residents, property owners, developers, design professionals as well as City staff and others when considering new development and redevelopment within Mesa. A community workshop to get input will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Benedictine University Community Room, 225. E. Main St.

Mesa has more recently started growing and evolving from a large, sprawling bedroom community to a vibrant and modern city with an urbanized downtown core and outer suburban areas. Mesa wants to responsibly manage this growth. By promoting well-designed residential and non-residential development, it is the City's intent to create a high quality built environment that will support the continued vibrant growth of the community.
