Mesa, AZ - Want to save up to $48 on your City of Mesa summer electric bills? The Energy Resources Department's Summer Electric Assistance program (SEA) is accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis for residential customers who demonstrate a financial need.

The SEA program is available to current City of Mesa residential electric customers whose total household income is less than $27,000 per year. The program eliminates Mesa's monthly service charge and usage charge for the first 80 kilowatt hours to help eligible customers cope with higher bills for electricity used in June, July and August. At current rates, participants can expect to save up to $16 on their July, August and September bills.

Applicants are encouraged to apply before May 30. Applications will be accepted through August 1.
