Looking for a way to give back? You can learn about volunteering for the City of Mesa and how to get involved at a Volunteer Recruitment Fair Thursday, Sept. 26 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mesa Arts Center Alliance Pavilion, 1 E. Main St.

Meet representatives from various City departments to learn more about all of the available volunteer opportunities offered. Departments such as Mesa Fire and Medical, Police, Mesa Arts Center, Mesa Public Library, i.d.e.a. Museum, Arizona Museum of Natural History, Parks and Recreation and Community Services will be present to answer questions and give information. The Fair will also include volunteer resource bags, giveaways, raffles and a volunteer craft creating bookmarks for City of Mesa Little Libraries.

Volunteering is a great way for residents from teens to seniors give back to their community, fulfill service hours and learn different City functions.

The City of Mesa has an online system to search for volunteer opportunities based on area of interest, length of time commitment and more. You can access it at www.mesaaz.gov/volunteer.
