The City of Mesa's Neighborhood Services team has created a new series of classes aimed at supporting neighborhood leaders and improving neighborhoods. The Resident's Guide to Mesa is a series of free classes packed with useful information to support Mesa residents who want to make a difference in their neighborhoods.. The classes will help residents gain a better understanding of City services, connect to other people with common neighborhood concerns and walk away with new tools and training to make positive changes in their community.

The first class, Guide to Taking Care of Your Neighborhood, is taking place Tuesday, Oct. 22.In this class, residents will:

Learn about free City services that can benefit them and their neighborhood

Practice using City Apps where residents can easily report everything from graffiti to potholes

Connect with other residents who share common neighborhood concerns

Receive shareable neighborhood social media posts and an invitation to our exclusive online neighborhood network group

Other upcoming classes are Guide to Building Community in Your Neighborhood Thursday, Nov. 14 and Guide to Becoming a Community Advocate Tuesday, Dec. 10.
