Costumes and clothes at bargain prices at next City of Mesa Surplus Sale

Just in time for Halloween, the City of Mesa will have lots of costumes, clothes from theatre productions, fabric and craft supplies available at the next weekly Surplus Sale Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at the City of Mesa Warehouse, 7041 E. Adobe.

Thanks to the Mesa Arts Center clearing a warehouse full of items, there will be clothes used in previous productions, assorted hats, dance costumes and leotards for sale. The stage clothes and costumes are all priced from 25 cents to $2. The hats are priced between 25 cents and $1.50.

Hundreds of bags of assorted fabric will be on sale, priced at 25 cents, 50 cents or $1. There are also dozens of bags of assorted yarn and macrame in a large assortment of colors. You will find a large supply of crafts including wood pieces, Poly-fil, Styrofoam balls, flower prices, beads and sequins. There are sewing notions including ribbon, trim and bias tape for sale.

There will also be a large supply of books for kids and adults all priced at no more than $1. For vinyl album lovers, there are also several 33 1/3 albums without covers. They are all on sale for 25 cents.

The City of Mesa offers surplus sales every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon. Merchandise consist of surplus items from various City departments, unclaimed police evidence and asset forfeiture items. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or check/debit card with photo identification. All sales are final without warranty or guarantee of any kind and there are no refunds. There are City items also available for sale on PublicSurplus.com.

Proceeds from the surplus sales and sales from the PublicSurplus.com government surplus website benefit the City of Mesa General Fund.
