Mesa THINKspot is hitting the two year mark, and celebrating it with a "Day of Making" on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This free event will feature our new digital sewing machines, where participants can create a pillowcase for a child at the Child Crisis Center and something for themselves. We'll demonstrate THINKspot's tech equipment made available for use, including THINKspot's 3D printer at 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and The Studio at 2:00 p.m. Live demonstrations of Lynda.com, a powerful online learning database covering tech, business, and creative tools, run at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Mesa Library card holders can access Lynda.com free with their card and PIN. Guests are invited to hang around until 4 p.m. to see the Code Club in action.

"We are delighted to celebrate the second anniversary of THINKspot", Mesa Library Director, Heather Wolf said. "THINKspot has become a great resource for our community and we encourage everyone to come out and experience, play and create with us."

Light refreshments and other surprises will be provided and all activities are free. Mesa THINKspot is located inside the Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Rd.
