Mesa K-Ready open house at Mesa Library

Mesa K-Ready is hosting an open house at Mesa Library, 64 E 1st St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2. The open house is designed for pre-school aged kids and their families to learn about community resources to help get ready for kindergarten.

Programs featured during the event include:

o Bi-lingual story time and crafts hosted by Speech Pathologist Amber Heffner
o TRIADAZ musical performances and make your own musical instrument craft in ThinkSpot
o Mother Goose nursery rhymes performed by Jan Sandwich
o Free immunizations from the Mesa Fire and Medical Department for kids 18 and under who meet one of the following qualifications
o No health insurance
o ACCHS insurance
o Insurance that does not cover immunizations
o Native American or Alaskan Native

Mesa Public Schools, First Things First and other early learning organizations will be on hand to provide resources to families.


Mesa K-Ready is a collaboration between the City of Mesa, Mesa Public Schools, Mesa United Way and Mesa Chamber of Commerce designed to help families and children prepare for kindergarten. For more information about the Mesa K-Ready program visit www.mesakready.org.
