The City of Mesa is accepting applications for the Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Program, created due to COVID-19. This is an online application available in English and Spanish. The online application is located at www.mesaaz.gov/evictionprevention.

"With so many people facing challenges and experiencing financial impact from the pandemic, Mesa residents should not have to add worrying about losing their homes," Mayor John Giles said. "The Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Program will offer much needed relief to those renters and homeowners most at risk."

Mesa residents (families and individuals) who have legal presence may apply to receive assistance with rent or mortgage payments. There are income limits established by HUD based on total household income to determine eligibility. Applicants must have Social Security numbers and birth dates for all family members and total gross annual income from all sources in the household.

Funding for the Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Program is from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Mesa receives annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
