The City of Mesa, in partnership with A New Leaf, is accepting applications for utility, rental and mortgage assistance in order to prevent shut-offs, evictions and foreclosures created in response to a public health emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are online applications available in English and Spanish located at www.mesaaz.gov/government/mesa-cares.

Eligible households may receive assistance if they are unable to pay their rent, due to a reduction or loss of income, health and safety concern or a crisis event that can be supported with documentation. The financial hardship must be directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have had a job loss, medical costs, or child care costs resulting in lost work time or someone you know in Mesa needs help paying back utility bills, rent or mortgage, Mesa CARES is here to help.

Call us now - don't wait until your utilities are turned off or for your landlord to begin eviction proceedings. These Mesa CARES dollars are to help Mesa's families struggling financially due to impacts from COVID. There is an eligibility and documentation process required, so call us so that we can help you get started right away.

More information is available at www.mesaaz.gov/government/mesa-cares or by calling the Mesa CARES Community Resources Call Center at (480) 644-CARE.
