It is a great way to celebrate the season! Merry Main Street, sponsored by the City of Mesa, Visit Mesa, Downtown Mesa Association and numerous businesses, returns to downtown Mesa for the sixth consecutive year. Merry Main Street is from Nov. 27 through Jan. 2 and offers exciting holiday activities in a safe and healthy environment for all visitors:

ATTRACTIONS

Mesa's Christmas Tree. Merry Main Street would not be complete without a giant Christmas tree. The nearly four-story tall tree will be located on Macdonald at Main Street. A virtual tree lighting ceremony will take place to officially kick off Merry Main Street Friday, Nov. 27 at 5:50 p.m. You can view it at www.Facebook.com/CityofMesa.

Winter Wonderland Ice Rink. Downtown Mesa will again feature a more than 5,000 square foot ice skating rink, 20 E. Main St., that will be open daily for thousands to enjoy our amazing winter weather while skating under the stars. The area around the ice rink will be adorned with vintage holiday decorations not used in downtown Mesa since 1967. This year, due to an abundance of caution while we maintain social distancing guidelines, tickets must be pre-purchased for a specific day and time. There will be a maximum of 50 skaters at one time. Masks must be worn during check in and skate return.

Visits with Santa. Free safe and healthy visits with Santa beginning Saturday, Nov. 28 and continuing on Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 19. Santa will be inside his magical snow globe with kids of all ages sitting in front. Bring your cell phone or camera for pictures. All visitors are asked to wear masks while waiting in line and follow all safety guidelines posted or requested by Santa's elves!

Santa's sELFie Village. Take a moment to create a special holiday card photo at Mesa's Christmas Tree or one of the other Santa sELFie stations surrounding it.

Mesa Farmers Market & Flea. A year round market for local businesses is ready to celebrate the holiday season. You are strongly encouraged to pre order items from our vendors so you can spend a minimal amount of time on your trip and return home quickly with your groceries. Mesa Farmers Market & Flea is on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.
