Resident's Guide to Mesa Offers Free Classes to Boost Neighborhoods

The City of Mesa's Community Engagement team launches a citizen program to educate and support neighborhood leaders in improving their communities. The Resident's Guide to Mesa is a series of free classes to help residents better understand City services, connect to other people with common neighborhood concerns, learn new tools and receive training to make positive changes in their community.

Resident's Guide to Water Conservation - Tuesday, Feb. 7. During this virtual webinar, get the latest news about drought and our water supplies, find out how water is typically used in a household and discover the programs that can help you save water and money!

Resident's Guide to Taking Care of Your Neighborhood - Tuesday, Feb. 21. Learn about free City services that can benefit you and your neighborhood. You can also learn how to find the contact information for your Community Engagement Coordinator, Code Officer, Crime Prevention Officer and other key City staff.

Resident's Guide to Building Community in Your Neighborhood - Tuesday, March 28. Create an action plan and walk away with tangible next steps to connect with your neighbors and receive guidance from key City staff about your neighborhood's issues.

Resident's Guide to Community and Civic Engagement - Tuesday, April 18. Learn how to take on leadership roles beyond your neighborhood and into the community.

All of the Resident's Guide classes begin at 6 p.m. While the classes are free, online registration is required. With limited seats, people are encouraged to sign up at least one week in advance. The City's webpage has more information, including class locations.

The City's Community Engagement team is also offering Resident's Guide to Homeowners Associations. The monthly virtual seminars on hot topics and laws pertaining to Arizona HOAs and condos all conclude with a question and answer session. Registration is required.
