The Mesa Police Department will be out conducting DUI enforcement activities this weekend. The MPD Traffic Unit will continue its support of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) Memorial Day Weekend DUI Task Force beginning Friday, May 26 until Monday, May 29. Emphasized hours will take place from 5pm to 3am all nights.
The Memorial Day Weekend DUI Task Force is a local enforcement activity held annually. The mission is to remove impaired drivers off the roadway and create safer streets throughout the valley. Also, to decrease the number of vehicle collisions related to impaired driving.
