The Mesa Police Department is thrilled to announce the 25th Anniversary of Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (G.A.I.N.), an event that has brought communities together in Mesa for a quarter of a century. This remarkable milestone will take place on Saturday, November 4th, from 3 PM to 7 PM, as neighborhoods throughout the city gather for an evening of solidarity to promote safer neighborhoods.
G.A.I.N. was established with a clear mission: to heighten awareness about crime and drug prevention, generate support for local anti-crime efforts, strengthen the bonds between neighbors and law enforcement, and send a resolute message to criminals that Mesa residents are organized and committed to a safer community.
With nearly 90 registered parties, spanning neighborhoods, apartment complexes, mobile home communities, and homeowner associations (HOA's), this year guarantees an unforgettable evening filled with camaraderie and robust community engagement. These local gatherings will host a wide range of special events, from block parties and cookouts to youth activities and much more.
One of the highlights of this year's G.A.I.N. event will be the presence of various city departments, showcasing the importance of collaboration and community involvement in enhancing safety. Police and Fire departments, City Council members, Parks & Recreation representatives, Solid Waste, Park Rangers, Clerks, and Code Enforcement personnel will be actively engaging with residents throughout the evening, emphasizing the strength of community partnerships.
