Falcon Field Airports Cockpit Close-up edition for the month of October is about to get scary with the inaugural Haunted Hangar family event.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., families are invited to join us at Falcon Field West World War II Hangar, located at 4626 E Fighter Aces Drive.
Falcon Field Airport has a rich history, dating back to its establishment in 1941 as a British training base for cadets during World War II. The hangar, where the event will take place, holds significant historical value and houses vintage aircraft that will be on display. With the Halloween season in full swing, the hangar will be transformed into a spooky yet family-friendly place for everyone to enjoy.
Community organizations offering goodies to trick-or-treaters include the following:
Education and Workforce Center
Mesa Public Library
Mesa Fire Department
Mesa Police Department
Mesa Solid Waste
Aviation Explorers
Wings of Flight Foundation
Crumble Cookie at Recker and Longbow Pkwy
Halloran Insurance Agency
Self-Development Academy
Chick-fil-A at Power and McKellips
Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to join us in their Halloween costumes to add to the fun. This is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the Halloween season while learning more about the Airport and its significance.
