The Mesa Police Department will be conducting DUI enforcement activities this weekend. The MPD Traffic Unit will continue its support of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) Memorial Day Weekend DUI Task Force beginning Friday, May 23, until Monday, May 26. Emphasized hours will take place from 4pm to 2am all nights.
The Memorial Day Weekend DUI Task Force is a local enforcement activity held annually. The mission is to remove impaired drivers off the roadway and create safer streets throughout the valley. Also, to decrease the number of vehicle collisions related to impaired driving.
