Mesa's family-friendly spring party in the park offers free fun activities for people of all ages. Celebrate Mesa takes over Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main St., on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year's theme is Spring Fling and it includes Read on Mesa's Literacy Lane, a celebration of literacy and community. Attendees can participate in readings from special guests, connect with free literacy programs and resources and sign up for a Mesa Library card.
Mesa Public Library's Read Runner bookmobile and Mesa Parks and Recreation's M.O.R.E. (Mesa Outdoor Recreation Experience) and Fun 'N Fitness mobile recreation units will also be there offering free programs and activities for all ages.
Celebrate Mesa also celebrates Earth Day with a Living Green Village featuring exhibitors offering expertise about tree planting, composting, recycling and energy efficiency incentives. Mesa Arts Center's MABEL (Mobile Art Based Engagement Lab) will also be part of Living Green Village.
There will be food vendors, live music, a petting zoo, tot spot, bounce houses, archery, FREE carnival rides, playground, Water Wall, splash pad, City departments with information and displays and much more! Look for additional details in the coming days on the City of Mesa website.
