Mesa Pools Open May 23

Residents can cool off this summer as all City of Mesa pools open for the season beginning Saturday, May 23. To celebrate the start of the season, all pools will offer special grand opening hours from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. that day.

A pre-season soft opening will also be held Saturday, May 16 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at all pool locations.

Mesa's eight public aquatic facilities offer lap swimming, recreational swimming, water features and family-friendly amenities throughout the season:

All pools open for public swimming at 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. depending on the location. Skyline and Rhodes will also be open on Sundays.

All aquatic facilities will be open daily through July 18. Mesa Aquatic Complex, Stapley Aquatic Complex and Brimhall Aquatic Complex will continue daily operations until July 25. Skyline Aquatic Center and Rhodes Aquatic Complex will remain open daily through July 25 and weekends through Sunday, Sept. 6.

All pools will be open for public swim on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July but will be closed on Labor Day.

Daily admission fees are:
•$3 for youth 17 and under
•$5 for adults
•$4 for seniors 55 and older
•Free for infants.

FlowRider rates at Rhodes Aquatic Complex are $12 for youth and $16 for adults for a one-hour ride while the fence is in. Rates are $14 and $22, respectively, without the fence. No fence Flow sessions will be offered Saturday mornings, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning May 23.

Discounted season pool passes are available through May 23:

•Household pass (up to six members): $150
•Additional household members: $25 each
•Individual pass: $45

Beginning May 24, season pass rates increase to:
•Household pass:$225
•Additional household pass: $30 each
•Individual pass: $56

Season pool passes include unlimited visits to all City of Mesa pools throughout the summer season.

Pool passes may be purchased online or in person at the Mesa Parks and Recreation Office, 708 W. Baseline Road, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
