Regional Hiring Event Connects Job Seekers with Over 100 Employers

The City of Mesa will host the first annual Elevate East Valley Workforce Hiring Event on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St. The regional hiring event is a partnership with Maricopa County and the communities of Gilbert, Tempe, Chandler, Queen Creek and Apache Junction.

"Workforce development and education are key priorities for me and for Mesa." said Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman. "We want our residents to have access to good jobs and meaningful career opportunities, and we want our businesses to have the skilled workforce they need to succeed. Elevate East Valley is a great example of what we can accomplish when we work together as a region. I'm proud Mesa is bringing our East Valley partners, employers and job seekers together for this event."

This regional hiring event will bring together over 100 employers with job seekers from across the East Valley, creating a valuable opportunity to connect with a diverse pool of skilled talent. There will be employers from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, information technology and local government.

"The East Valley continues to be a hub for growth in Maricopa County," said Maricopa County Supervisor Thomas Galvin. "Hiring events like this provide both employers and prospective employees with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop successful teams. When local governments work with our business community, we create regional opportunities for prosperity that benefit all of our residents."

In addition to employers, job seekers will have access to community resources, including information on educational opportunities and social services. The event is free for both employers and attendees. Job seekers of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
